He was an executive director of the company before his retirement.
“He is a good team player, hardworking, dedicated and highly resourceful. He has contributed a lot to the growth of the company,” he said.
Olojede attended Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo, Lagos State where he obtained his HND in Insurance and became an associate member of the Insurance Institute of London. He also holds a master’s degree in Managerial Psychology from the University of Ibadan.
According to the company, Olojede had spent quality time in the teaching profession before moving to the insurance industry in 1985.
He joined Guinea Insurance Plc, Lagos as a senior clerk (marine claims). To date, he has over 30 years of experience in the industry.
It stated, “His well-grounded experience in life and pensions, insurance brokerage, claims and general business management has impacted positively on the companies where he has worked in various capacities. He, therefore, brought this wealth of experience to Vigilant Insurance Company Limited in 1995 as controller, research and business development and later elevated to the position of general manager.”
Upon merger of Vigilant and NEM into a new entity, the firm said Olojede continued as general manager (research and branch operations) until 2012 when he became general manager (operations) with oversight function in technical operations (claims and underwriting), compliance monitoring, research and product development.
It added, in recognition of his performance, he was elevated to the position of executive director and a member of the board of directors, the position he held until he retired.
